Admiral's Barge, underway - Guam, M. I.

"Murf" Murphy (left) and Pat Clyde (right) take the Admiral's Barge to Umatic Bay on Guam, M. I. The Admiral's Barge was originally an Aviation Rescue Boat (AVR). The boat originally had twin gasoline powered Halscott engines but these were replaced with twin diesel Grey engines because of the scarcity and dangerous nature of the fuel. Pat and Murf also rerigged and reworked an outrigger sailing boat for the Admiral. He rewarded each of them with a bottle (a fifth) of Ballentines Scotch for their hard work (over the objections of his adjutant, a Captain).
